Sample Bequest Language

If you are considering including a charitable bequest in your estate plan, the following language may be helpful to you and your attorney:

"All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, I give devise and bequeath to The Arc of Litchfield County, Inc, of Torrington, Connecticut for its general charitable objectives and purposes."

OR

The Arc of Litchfield County, Inc, of Torrington, Connecticut, "I give, devise and bequeath to  , ____% of my residuary estate to be used for its general objectives and purposes."

OR

"I give, devise and bequeath to The Arc of Litchfield County, Inc, of Torrington, Connecticut the sum of $__________, to be used for its general objectives and purposes."
