Transition Services as defined by PL 101-476
(section 300.18) refers to a coordinated set of activities for a student designed within
an outcome oriented process which promotes movement from school to post-school activities,
including post-secondary education, vocational training, integrated employment (including
supported employment), continuing and adult education, adult services, independent living,
or community participation.
LARCS Transition
Programs were created to assist schools in realizing these objectives by providing the
following services:

- Career specific Community based
situational assessment
- Vocational Exploration/Job maintenance
Skill Development
- Staff Development
- Job Placement
- Job Retention
