 LARC provides
a number of Employment Services that help the production demands of many Employers in the
Litchfield County area by providing motivated individuals matched to specific job duties.
- Individual Placements: LARC will
assess specific jobs and match individuals who possess the ability to perform the required
duties. LARC will train and provide ongoing support to the employed individual and
consultation to the Employer.
- Group Placements: LARC will
provide tailored workgroups for Employers requiring larger amounts of production. Groups
can be hired directly by the Employer or remain on LARC payroll. Permanent supervision can
be provided for group placements
Employment Placement Services
are provided in various models from individual competitive placements to supervised work
crews.
- Assess skills through community based
exploration and situational assessments.
- Develop personal profiles i.e.
strength, preferences, etc.
- Develop jobs for people.
- Conduct compatibility analysis and job
matches.
- Facilitate site accommodations.
- Provide on-the-job training.
- Refer to generic placement services.
- Refer to in-house resources.
- Provide employer education.
- Provide consumer advocacy.
- Provide educational supports on the
job.
- Provide follow-up services i.e.
retraining, replacement, etc.
- Long term employment supports.
